Moussa Sangré-Ponce

Moussa Sangré-Ponce joined the Acadia Axewomen soccer coaching staff in the summer of 2025, bringing more than a decade of experience in the women’s game as a coach, journalist and university scout.

Sangré-Ponce is currently a girls’ soccer coach with United Dartmouth Football Club and has been involved in the Soccer Nova Scotia provincial program since 2023. Since joining United Dartmouth FC, he has guided teams to medals in all AA and AAA competitions and led two different rosters to back-to-back under-18 AA indoor league titles and silver medals in the outdoor league.


His coaching journey began over 15 years ago with Soccer mineur de Clare. He also served as an assistant coach with Team Mi’kmaw at the 2023 North American Indigenous Games and will return in that role for the 2027 edition.


A former university scout with the uOttawa Gee-Gees, Sangré-Ponce brings a strong recruiting network and deep knowledge of the Canadian university soccer landscape to Acadia. His relationships with postsecondary and professional coaches continue to help support players both on and off the pitch.


Away from the pitch he was also a professional musician, journalist and did work as TV contributor, teacher and podcaster.
