Uncover Your Essence (UYE) is a Nova Scotia-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals, families, and communities to confidently embrace their identity, uncover their potential, and lead with purpose.
We create culturally relevant spaces and programs that support personal growth, self-love, and leadership development, with a strong focus on BIPOC individuals and communities who are often underrepresented.
Through year-round initiatives and community partnerships, UYE provides transformative learning experiences that help people build confidence, explore possibilities, and see themselves reflected in the futures they are shaping.

OUR PROGRAMS
UYE CONFERENCE
The Uncover Your Essence Youth Conference is dedicated to inspiring youth aged 13-18 through dynamic conferences and workshops. Our annual full-day event features diverse speakers, engaging activities, interactive breakout sessions, and our signature Fun & Knowledge Hub, which connects youth to resources they can access now and in the future.
The conference exposes youth to a wide range of industries and topics, including health and wellbeing, entrepreneurship, education, STEM, the arts, leadership, apprenticeships, confidence-building, and personal growth, fostering connection, empowerment, and the full potential of young minds.
