Peter Oyedijo
Peter Oyedijo is a young community leader based in Nova Scotia. He currently serves as Special Advisor to Nova Scotia’s Minister of Addictions and Mental Health, where he acts as the principal political advisor supporting the Minister’s work and priorities.
Peter is actively involved in community governance and leadership, serving on several boards, including the YMCA of Cape Breton, Caper Radio, the Cape Breton University Alumni Association, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Breton. He has previously served as an Advisor with the Nova Scotia Youth Climate Council and as a member of the Finance Engage Sustain Youth Harbours Steering Committee.
Be The Change
This session empowers youth to recognise their voice, strengths, and leadership potential. Panelists will share how they developed confidence, made decisions through challenges, and used their experiences to create positive impact in their communities. Youth will learn strategies for self-advocacy, communication, goal-setting, and overcoming self-doubt.
