Jenna Kedy is a 21-year-old healthcare advocate, public speaker, and storyteller born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. A chronic illness and mental health warrior since childhood, Jenna is proudly neurodivergent with a learning disability and has been advocating for patient voice since the age of 14. She serves on the Canadian Medical Association Patient Voice Board, the Provincial Youth Advisory Council for Nova Scotia’s Anchor Youth Space, mentors with the IMPaCT Trials Program, and contributes as a patient partner with the University of Manitoba pharmacy program, CIHI’s DCS group, and the Health Partners Health Advisory Network. A former two-time Team Canada para-cheerleading World Champion, Jenna is now a third-year Family Studies student working in the non-profit sector in inclusive recreation. She is also the founder of Hope by Heart, a storytelling initiative raising awareness about real issues in Canadian healthcare, and remains a passionate community volunteer dedicated to amplifying lived experience with heart and purpose.
