Solitha Shortte

Solitha Shortte, originally from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, is a prominent figure in the Halifax fashion scene, serving as the Owner, Creative Director, Agent, and Coach at Soli Production Management Inc. (The HOUSEofSOLI) With a Bachelor's degree from MSVU in Business Administration focusing on marketing, she transitioned from being a model and marketer to establishing her own business within the Nova Scotia fashion industry.


Drawing from over a decade of experience as a model, runway coach, and runway production director , Solitha provides a unique perspective on the fashion industry. At Soli Productions, she is dedicated to revolutionizing the fashion scene in Halifax, championing diversity, and investing in the development of aspiring models, actors, and designers who demonstrate talent and drive. Solitha is the host of the television series “Style East”, and is the lead feature and associate  Producer in her documentary tv series “Fashionable Great” and feature documentary film  “Stomp It Out”.

Solitha creates the change she desires by becoming that change in the space she ocupies. Wish is evident in the establishment of her agency component that was born out of the realization that models coached by her were not receiving representation in the local market. Thus, she has made it her mandate to celebrate beauty across the spectrum, creating a supportive environment for models to enhance their skills through Soli Coaching Workshops.


As a trailblazer in the industry, Solitha has propelled her productions beyond Nova Scotia into the international market, offering a gateway for talent to showcase on global fashion hubs like Paris fashion week and New YorkFashion Week. Her local runway productions have evolved into  Halifax Fashion Week, providing a consistent presence in the market to stimulate growth and sustainability for creatives within the fashion industry. Solitha envisions herself as part of the machinery joining like-minded individuals driving the soon-to-be thriving fashion industry in Nova Scotia.

Soil productions Inc is the entity within the house of Soli brand specializing in runway productions and brand campaigns promoting diversity on runways and internationally.  promoting the diverse culture contributing to the Nova Scotia fashion scene.
